When we think about summer, our minds often go straight to the sea — sandy beaches, salty air, and days spent along the coast.

But summer by the water can mean so much more.

I live in a landlocked country, so the sea is something we usually enjoy only when we travel there for vacation. But we have beautiful lakes, peaceful shores, and so many wonderful places by the water much closer to home. Over the years, many of our summer trips and family memories have been made at lakes — swimming, exploring, taking walks along the shore, or simply slowing down and enjoying a beautiful summer day together.

And I know we're not alone. Not everyone lives near the sea, and not every summer adventure takes us to the coast.

Year Of Memories | August – New Creative Team Inspiration

 Hello lovely friends! 🤍

I hope you've had a wonderful weekend!

We had such a lovely Saturday here at home. My sister came over with her whole family, including my nephews who are all grown up now, my mom joined us too, and for once we managed to have almost the whole family together in one place.

We started with a nice family lunch, then spent the afternoon swimming in the pool, grilling, talking, laughing, and simply enjoying being together. As the day slowly turned into evening, we stayed out on the terrace and kept chatting until late.

We don't get the chance to have everyone together like this very often anymore, especially now that the kids are older and everyone has their own lives and plans. That made this simple summer day feel even more special. 🤍

And I suppose that's exactly what Year Of Memories is all about—not only the big adventures, but also those ordinary days that quietly become some of our favorite memories.
