For me, peonies have always been a part of June.
When I was a little girl, my grandmother had beautiful peonies growing in her garden. Every year, when those big, beautiful blooms opened, I knew summer was almost here. School was coming to an end, long sunny days were ahead, and the excitement of summer vacation was just around the corner.
Even now, whenever I see peonies in bloom, they bring back those memories of my grandmother's garden, the feeling of carefree childhood days, and the anticipation of all the adventures that summer would bring.
